在美国，工作的竞争越来越激烈，让很多人分身乏术，（因此）很多人便利用中午的时间去处理银行、邮局、做运动，或者是剪头发等例行性的事情。（便=就）
Because the competition for jobs in the U.S. is so stiff, many people don't have enough time to do their routine tasks so they use their lunch hour to, for example, go to the bank, post office, exercise, or get their hair cut.
